  • How does my data flow? - Companies are always concerned with the flow of their data and how it is managed and stored.   • What is TLS? AES Encryption? - Since on-premise systems are under company control and not co-hosted in a multi-tenant environment, encryption is much less of a concern. With cloud applications, however, data always needs to be encrypted and secure in transit, and at rest. To that end, encryption security standards have been established that ensure data is indeed stored at an appropriate level and securely transmitted. The two current standards are AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) 256 for storage and TLS (Transport Layer Security) 1.2 for secure HTTPS traffic. While OneCloud does not store data, all communications leverage the TLS 1.2 standard and any customers’ OneCloud metadata is strictly stored at the AES 256 level.   • Security? Access? What are SSO and SAML? - End-users of on-premise systems typically have a lot of freedom to navigate in and out of applications. Generally, integration simply consists of launching a batch script on a shared drive. In the new enterprise world, this no longer cuts the mustard as new levels of security are required to access multiple applications that co-exist on-premise and in the cloud. As such, user access in combination with Single Sign-on (SSO) needs to the first order of business.
